Biography
Tyson has been involved in the landscape design and construction industry since receiving his Bachelors of Landscape Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in History degrees from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2005. He worked for three years at Conceptual Design and Planning Company in Atascadero, CA, where he was involved with a wide variety of projects throughout the state. Some of these projects included large retail/office parks, senior housing, mixed-use developments and LEED residential and commercial tracts.
After traveling around the globe for a year in 2008, Tyson began working at the Urban Tree Foundation in Visalia, CA, and is currently a project manager and landscape architect on multiple public works projects and riparian restoration projects - some of which include detention basins, street right of ways and medians, creek trails, and low income housing units.
Tyson is a licensed landscape architect and landscape contractor, and a LEED accredited professional. He is also an ISA certified arborist. His interests lie in sustainable design in commercial and institutional development and large scale public projects with an emphasis in urban forestry and riparian restoration.
