Biography
Sandra Gonzalez received her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture in 1984 from California Polytechnic State University. She received her Masters of Public Policy and Administration at California State University, Long Beach in 2006.
Sandra has a long history of work in the field of Landscape Architecture. She has worked with Land Concern, Ltd, Larry Moss and Associates, Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, California State University, Long Beach, EDSA Landscape Architects and Planners, and the City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation & Marine. Sandra currently works with the City of Pico Rivera as the Parks and Recreation Director.
Sandra has received many awards, honors and recognitions for her excellent work and contributions to this field. Richard Zweifel, the former CAED Associate Dean at Cal Poly, stated "Sandra’s tireless and unwavering dedication to Landscape Architecture education and licensure exemplifies the highest standards of professional practice and service. I believe her enthusiastic volunteerism, leadership ability and accomplishments at state and national levels have made a lasting contribution to the legacy of landscape architecture."
