Biography

Marty’s journey in the world of design started at Cal Poly in Fall of ’88 as an Architecture student, transferring into the Land Arch program in ‘89, graduation in 1994 took him through Northern CA and in ‘98 back into SoCAL into the City of Ventura and ultimately returning to San Diego in 2018.  Along the way, he enjoyed a diversity of California offices and projects from amazing Montecito Estates to resorts in the Seychelles, and has teamed along-side some of the most gifted engineers and architects designing public spaces and urban centers throughout California.  “Learning by doing” in the multidisciplinary world simply keeps getting better from its CPSLO inception.

In an effort to give back to the profession, Marty has been involved in a multitude of public advisory boards and commissions within his community, serving as an advocate for the profession of Landscape Architecture and is honored to be a part of LADAC, ensuring the success and penultimate level of integrity coming from the San Luis Obispo program.

Marty received his BS in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1994. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and actively involved in the San Diego Chapter as the 2023 Chapter President. He is a licensed Landscape Architect in California and has two amazing kids, Lily and Fin.
