Jill Nesom

Jillian Nesom is a licensed landscape architect, ISA Certified Arborist, and LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C) based in Sacramento, with over ten years of experience across California and Nevada. After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2014, she began her career in residential design-build before transitioning into public, multidisciplinary work. Her portfolio spans a wide range of project types and scales, with a focus on parks and recreation projects from 1 to over 100 acres, as well as streetscapes, master planned communities, urban mixed-use  developments, waterfronts, and healthcare environments. She is passionate about creating context-responsive landscapes that support meaningful connections between people and their natural environments.

Jillian’s work is grounded in a strong understanding of how landscapes are built and maintained over time. With experience in both design and construction, she develops practical, buildable solutions that balance design intent with responsiveness to site conditions, climate, and long-term performance. She works closely with integrated teams through all phases of design and is particularly skilled in project coordination, conceptual site design, and early idea and theme development.
