  1. Laguna Middle School: Urban Comfort and Microclimate Analysis

      • Thermal drone analysis evaluating material performance and microclimate conditions at the Laguna Middle School’s playground.
  2. Jalama Ranch Headquarters: Green Infrastructure

    • 2025-26 Teacher-Scholar Research: Asst. Professor Aaron Liggett + PALM Research Fellows (David Davis; Haden Pone; Josh Schneider; Trenton deMontmorency)
      • Drone-derived terrain modeling to evaluate hydrologic functions and develop performance-based strategies for a green infrastructure network.
  3. Fiscalini Ranch: Vegetation & NDVI Analysis

    • 2025-26 Senior Project — Tovia Keeley
      • Multispectral NDVI imagery used to identify plant communities and inform restoration strategies at Fiscalini Ranch.
  4. Chumash Cultural Lands: Watershed & Fire Risk Modeling

    • ​​​​​​​2025-26 Student Studio Project — David Davis
      • ​​​​​​​Drone-derived terrain modeling of Chumash cultural lands in Santa Ynez, CA to simulate stormwater behavior and wildfire risk.
  5. Poly Canyon: Digital Twins & Projection-Augmented Models

    • ​​​​​​​Winter 2026 Interdisciplinary Studio — Asst. Professor Aaron Liggett (LA 406) + Assoc. Professor Jen Shields (ARCH 452)
      • ​​​​​​​Drone-based digital modeling of Poly Canyon and the Experimental Structures Lab.  3D printed and CNC-fabricated physical models enhanced through projection mapping of environmental and cultural data for immersive learning.
