Bridget Walker, PLA

Bridget Walker is a project manager and landscape architect with a strong foundation in detailed design and a proven track record of managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept through execution. Since joining SWA in 2019, she has led planning efforts that require extensive coordination across architects, engineers, city agencies, and stakeholder groups—balancing technical requirements with design excellence. Her background in high-end residential, hospitality, and historic landscapes informs her ability to craft inventive, context-driven solutions, while her deep horticultural expertise ensures landscapes perform as beautifully as they look. Bridget brings expertise in guiding large, intricate projects through layered approvals, uniting diverse teams behind a shared vision, and delivering landscapes that are resilient, functional, and distinctly of their place.

Ecological Design

Bridget brings a deep ecological sensibility to her work, with extensive experience designing and implementing restorative landscapes that heal damaged ecosystems. She has worked on grassland restoration at Kenwood Ranch, habitat enhancement at Rocky Oaks National Park, and the ecological recovery of the Santa Monica Mountains following wildfires, including the restoration of Paramount Ranch. These projects have honed her ability to integrate native planting strategies, soil regeneration techniques, and habitat connectivity into landscapes that are both resilient and biodiverse.
