Tom Donnelly joined ValleyCrest Landscape Development in 1980. A landscape architect by training, Tom’s grasp of landscape construction and site engineering, and his team building skills, positioned him well for management and he was selected to lead the division’s growing Orange County, California operation in 1984. In 1987, he was promoted to Vice President with responsibilities for combining Orange County and Riverside / San Bernardino offices into a single regional operation. Within the first five years of Tom’s leadership, the integrated regional operation was delivering record sales and profits. In 1994, he was tapped to grow the company’s presence in the southeastern United States and open new branches in Atlanta, Georgia, Orlando, Florida and the Carolinas. During Tom’s tenure in Atlanta, he oversaw the company’s landscape construction contract for the venues of the 1996 Olympic Games. In 1997, Tom returned to California to develop and manage the company’s landscape development services nationwide.

As President and Chief Operating Officer of ValleyCrest Landscape Development, a position he’s held since 2001, he oversees the operations of a national branch network that forms the only landscape development company with the capability to serve customers from coast to coast. In addition, he is responsible for implementing the division’s expansion into pre-construction services, design-build, residential estate services and landscape architecture.

Tom is a member of American Society Landscape Architects and the Urban Land Institute, and sits on the Board of Governors for ULI Foundation. Tom is a licensed landscape contractor in California, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and West Virginia. Tom graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture.
