Biography

Vicki Estrada founded Estrada Land Planning in downtown San Diego, California in 1985. Estrada Land Planning provides land planning, landscape architecture, GIS, visual analysis and simulations, and urban design services. The firm concentrates on re-development, urban infill, mixed-use commercial, park and recreation, transportation and streetscape projects. Vicki is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Landscape Architecture (1975) and has over 32 years of private practice experience, working for both public and private interests. Some of her past projects include the Balboa Park Master Plan, the Balboa Park Promenade (expansion of the San Diego Zoo and associated improvements), the San Diego Convention Center, Broadway Streetscape (San Diego), the downtown San Diego Streetscape Manual, Barrio Logan Land Use Vision Plan and the Ocean Beach Skateboard Park. She is chair of the City of San Diego Community Forest Advisory Board and is on the County of San Diego Historic Site Board. She spent five years on the city of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture and is past National Vice President of Communication for the American Society of Landscape Architects.
