Biography

Matt Daley is the Landscape Group Manager at McGuire and Hester. Founded in 1926, M&H is an employee-owned Civil Engineering and Landscape Construction company and is one of only a few companies in the Western United States who commercially self-perform all the backbone sitework trades, including earthwork, underground utilities, asphalt paving, concrete, and landscape on a large scale.

Matt started his landscape journey in 1989 as a Landscape Architecture student here at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After graduation, he joined ValleyCrest in 1995 and worked as a Senior Project Manager, leading the San Francisco / Peninsula project teams. Later, he assumed the role of Chief Estimator for its Northern California operations.

Matt joined McGuire and Hester in 2008 with the responsibility to cultivate the growth and development of its Landscape Group. By overseeing its commercial landscape operations, estimating, personnel and business development efforts, the division has grown to a first-call contractor for an elite customer base of developers and general contractors. Landscape services include sports facilities, trail systems, wetland restoration, commercial hardscape, landscape, irrigation and green roof systems. Being a trained and licensed Landscape Architect, M&H can effectively leverage this perspective and expertise to bridge the gap between design and execution. This brings a value-added service to our customers and provides insightful problem-solving leadership to our specialty landscape construction efforts. Check out his work here!
