Biography
Sarah Samynathan joined Terremoto in 2018 as a Landscape Designer and has been with their San Francisco studio since. She has worked on residential, commercial, and specialty landscape projects and has experience in all phases from research and concept design to construction administration and maintenance. In her work, Sarah strives to find design solutions that are site-specific, sustainable, and simple in materiality. Sarah prides herself in her ability to listen and connect with everyone that she collaborates with. She also strongly believes in honoring the labor and land care that goes into creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes. She has recently obtained licensure in the state of California which has further strengthened her expertise in the field.
Prior to her time with Terremoto, Sarah graduated from Cal Poly in 2018 with a major in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Psychology. Outside of work, Sarah is passionate about aiding the unhoused community in San Francisco and continues to do so through volunteer efforts and encouraging design students to tackle social issues through their projects.
