Biography

Amber Lake is a Landscape Architect who has recently retired from her position as Director of Landscape Architecture at Carrier Johnson + CULTURE. Since 2018, Amber was a part of a multidisciplinary team designing projects ranging from large campus master planning to finer grained art installations. She holds a Master of Architecture and is passionate about how multidisciplinary collaborations emphasize equitable, functional, and community-engaged design solutions. She is now a faculty member here at Cal Poly, and serves on both the Landscape Architecture Department Advisory Council and the College of Architecture and Environmental Design Advisory Board. Amber is currently pursuing a Doctor of Arts in Ecological Psychology and Environmental Humanities with a Specialization in Climate Response & Resilience.
