1221 State Street
Courtney has a diverse background in the field of landscape architecture, design and creative thinking. After completing her undergraduate degree in landscape architecture at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, she continued to develop her design and professional expertise at a mid-sized firm in Orange County, California. While there, she led a team of professionals in the design and development of large-scale projects including multi-family, assisted living, hospitality and mixed-use properties. In 2010, Courtney moved to Santa Barbara and began work with The Office of Katie O'Reilly Rogers. She has designed, managed and executed a number of projects within the Santa Barbara and Central Coast region including historic renovation, hotel, private estate, affordable condominium, apartment, retail center, multi-family and mixed-use developments. Courtney created CJM::LA in 2013 after operating as interim studio leader at The Office of Katie O'Reilly Rogers for two years. Her work combines the efficiency of large-scale production with exceptional technical skill, artful design sensibility and a specific attention to detail. Her design aesthetic is informed by international travel, responsiveness to detail and context, and a strong sense of creative curiosity.
